We have nine awesome volunteer high school runner coaches who are all super excited to help out this summer!
Hi! I'm Avery and I am a graduating senior at Davis High. I'll be at Brown University next fall where I will compete on their track and cross country teams. I've been a "runner girl" since eighth grade, and I am ecstatic to continue to share the sport that I love so deeply with the next generation. My favorite aspect of running is definitely the community; it has been such a privilege connecting with so many friendly and talented athletes from across the state and country. Besides running, I also coach private swim lessons and was a Summerdart coach in previous years.
My name is Natalia Yeager. I started running track and field for the high school my freshman year and the sport has stuck with me ever since. I believe that running is such a great way to build fitness and confidence while making lifelong friends. I can’t wait to guide the next generation of runners and show them just how far running can take them!
My name is Norah, and I’m going to be a senior next fall at Davis Senior High! I absolutely love running, but even more than the sport itself I love the running community. Ever since I began running in eighth grade, the community has built me up and helped me to become both a better athlete and a better person. As a coach at RunnerGirl, I hope to give girls around Davis the chance to experience this incredible community for themselves! I am CPR/First Aid Certified.
Hi, my name is Layla Wolk! I am a rising sophomore and I started running when I was in 7th grade for my school’s cross country team. I love running because it clears my mind and makes all my problems disappear.
Hi! My name is Lily and I am going into my senior year at DHS. I started running in 5th grade during the pandemic when I had too much energy to stay in the house, and I haven’t stopped since. I did track and cross country at Emerson for 2 years and so far have run varsity xc and track for 3 years at the high school. This sport has given me so much and I’m so grateful for this opportunity to give back to the next generation of runner girls. Super excited to meet you all this summer!
I have been running for four years now as a senior at Davis Senior High School. My love for running has grown with every season of cross-country and track&field. I was a team captain my senior year seasons of cross country and track & field. Thanks to tutoring elementary students in math and the cello, I have prior experience in mentoring kids. I cannot wait to spread the love for running and expand the sport to more young girls!
My name is Katelyn Secrest, I went to Montgomery elementary and am now at Davis Senior High. When I’m not running I love reading, rock climbing, spending time with friends and family, and playing cello. I ran on the Harper cross country team in eighth grade and decided to join the high school team in 9th. I’m so thankful to have started running! Through cross country and track I have gotten to know so many incredible people, many of which are now my best friends! Running has brought me so much joy and fun but also taught me some very valuable life lessons. I love running and can’t wait to build up a new generation of girls who will hopefully love to run just as much as I do!
Hi, I'm Adeleine! I'll be a sophomore at DHS this school year. I've been running XC and Track competitively since I was 9 years old. Running has given me friendships, grit, and mental and physical strength. I'm excited to share my joy of running with you!
Hi!! My name is Abby Nourot. I am a 2025 graduate of Da Vinci and started running competitively in 7th grade and I ran for Davis High School for 4 years. I am now going into my sophomore year at the University of Portland, where I run Cross Country and Track while studying nursing. Running has always been one of my favorite things, not only because it is fun but also because it has helped me become who I am. Both by being a place that I could go when things got hard and teaching me so many life lessons. This is my second year as a runner’s girls coach, and I am super excited to be back. I strive to give girls a place where they feel safe, welcome, and strong while, of course, having fun running. I am CPR/First Aid certified.
